The Massachusetts Sick Time Safe Harbor is ExpiringDecember 26, 2015
Just a reminder that after the Massachusetts’ Earned Sick Leave law went into effect on July 1, 2015, many employers were scrambling at the last minute in an effort to comply. Many employers relied on the so-called “Safe Harbor” provision included in the law, which allowed them to keep using their existing policy.
That safe harbor law is now expiring on January 1, 2016 and as of that point, all employers must have a sick time policy that fully complies with the law.
